for pretty well any part of Britain. A good starting place is
Sustrans are the organisation behind the National Cycle Network
-they publish an online Map of the National
Cycle Network. For more detailed information on a selection
of routes on the Network, see Cycle-Routes.org
-this useful site is built up through user contributions, but
is by no means comprehensive. Another good site is Transport
for London -they do online maps of routes across the city
-simply enter your start and finish points.

- CTC -national cycling organisation with
information on local cycling groups, travel and touring, insurance
and online shop.

Cycle Network, prepared as a collaboration between Dik Stoddart,
and Sustrans.
- Cycling Cumbria
-guide to mountain and road biking in Cumbria and the Lake District
-the site has a number of useful route descriptions with maps
that are graded by degree of difficulty.

Cycling Campaign -supporting

- RAC Grass Routes Challenge -annual competition run by the RAC which
encourages young people to produce School Travel Plans at secondary

- Rights of way
-fantastic source of information about Equestrian rights of way,
but obviously applicable to cyclists too.
- Safe Routes to School -projects encourage and enable children to walk

- Sustrans -the sustainable transport charity -
works on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle
