- Located next to the Karasjohka
River in the far north of Norway, the lodge was founded by Sven
Sven Engholm, 11 time winner of the Finnmarksløpet -1000
km, Europe's longest sled dog race. Whilst the primary offer
is for sled tours, the cabins are also available for rent on
an accommodation only basis. The log houses were all personally
built by Sven, each is unique down to the interior furniture
and there is a cozy wood heated sauna, outdoor hot tub and the
'Barta', a turf roofed log house where guests can meet around
an open fire for food and drinks. A truly special place to take
in the outdoors, with dog sledging, fishing, walking, canoeing
and cross country skiing.
