Looking more like a space ship than a hostel, this eco-lodge
has been constructed entirely from renewable resources including
sheep's wool insulation and a "living roof." The lodge
also features solar and wind power and is perfect for both individuals
and large groups, with the coast and mountains both nearby allowing

A small lodge, situated in a quiet village on the Aran Islands
and owned by a local non-profit organisation. They promote responsible
tourism and use a range of eco-practices including organic growth,
using energy responsibly and using traditional methods for renovation,

Connemara and The Burren, is carrying out a substantial environmental
improvements in its Connemara hostel, which overlooks Killary
fjord near the village of Leenane. Following an environmental
audit by Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI), the work includes
installation of solar panels and biomass fuels.
