Travel Portals -sites with everything
There are a few key sites on
travel that seem to have everything and at the same time defy
categorisation -these are the portals and directories -the starting
points for other sites. Here are a few of the better known ones.
Both the Guardian and the Independant
have good travel sections where you can search for articles on
sustainable travel (or anything else for that matter).

information for all the major European tourist destinations.
- Lastminute.com -the place to go for last minute bargains on flights,
cruises, train tickets and holidays.
- Onlinetravel.com
-one of the UK's leading online travel providers (fully bonded
with ABTA, ATOL, and IATA) -flights, hotels and build your own
holiday.
- Opodo -an
online travel service owned by nine of the world's leading airlines
(British Airways, Air France, Alitalia, Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa,
Aer Lingus, Austrian Airlines, Finnair ) and by GDS and travel
industry technology provider, Amadeus, offering flights, hotels,
car rental and holidays.
